Deryck and Avril split up-

LOS ANGELES – Court records show Avril Lavigne has filed for divorce from her musician husband after three years of marriage.
Lavigne filed for divorce from Sum 41 singer Deryck Jason Whibley on Friday in Los Angeles.
The couple were married in July 2006 and have no children together. Lavigne cited "irreconcilable differences."
The 25-year-old punk-pop singer burst to fame with her 2002 debut album "Let's Go."
Lavigne is asking a ruling to block Whibley from receiving spousal support.
Court records show Whibley was granted a request to add Lavigne's last name to his name in December 2007.

Just to give a little news about the new album,

The new album will contain around 15-18 songs and the band are rehearsal in LA now, Nov 1th is the date when they will start to record the new album with some new producer that still has no name. I was hoping it would be Mark but I guess its not =P Not impossible tho, now that Blinks tour is over ;P.

So if I'm allowed to guess, the new album is out around spring 2010, can't wait!

new info on the album!

Well it's been a while since my last update. And a lot has been happening over the past few months. Most importantly we've finally picked our producer for the new album. We've decided to work with the legendary Gil Norton!! Gil really gets the vision and direction of this new record and we're really excited to be working with him. About 20 or so songs are written. We've been in a rehearsal studio for the past few weeks and plan on recording this album over the next few months. I can't wait to get back out on the road and start playing these new songs. As far as the sound of the new record, it's always hard to explain something you're supposed to listen to but it's definitely a darker bigger sounding record than we've ever done. There's a lot of fast, heavy kind of stuff but there's also some really melodic interesting music as well. A bit of everything and it's pretty extreme. Not sure if that makes any sense or not... Ha ha.
